Comparison and analysis of pile-soil separate calculation and composite foundation calculation method for gravel pile reinforcement

This paper uses Indraratna seepage theory, Han pile-soil theory and composite foundation to establish three plane strain models. Through finite element calculations, the changes in pore pressure settlement are compared, following laws found: (1) The model established by cannot reflect objective of deformation; (2) In case multiple piles, there is no difference between considering bearing characteristics gravel piles without piles. (3) value obtained principle much smaller than separate calculation pile soil.
